Ornate "Norman" pump house built by Ludwig Persius in 1843/45, complete with towers and crenellations. It provided water for the many fountains of Park Babelsberg through 22km of pipes.

During the Cold War, the pump house was in the no man's land between the border and the Wall and it fell into disrepair. It is slowly being renovated.
