(New Chambers)
Maulbeerallee / Zur historischen Muehle

Built as an Orangery in 1745 by Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff. In 1768 Frederick the Great decided to convert the building into guest apartments.
The renovation began in 1771 under Georg Christian Unger and it was completed in 1775. The result was a sumptuously decorated Rococo mini-palace.
